  • Game responses and answers — the content you submit during weekly prompts and debates.
  • Push notification tokens — used to deliver timely notifications about game events.
  • Device information — basic device metadata to ensure app compatibility and diagnose issues.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used for the following purposes:

  • Gameplay — processing your answers, managing group memberships, calculating rankings, and delivering the weekly debate experience.
  • Notifications — sending push notifications about new prompts, voting phases, and results.
  • Content moderation — reviewing submissions to ensure they comply with our community guidelines and terms of service.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your data is shared only with the following service providers, which process data solely on our behalf:

  • Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and real-time services.
  • RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions and processes purchase receipts through the Apple App Store. RevenueCat does not receive your payment details directly — billing is handled by Apple.
  • Sentry — collects crash reports and error diagnostics, including device metadata and anonymized stack traces, to help us identify and fix bugs.
  • LiveKit — powers real-time voice chat during weekly recap sessions. Audio streams are transmitted but not recorded or stored.
  • Expo — delivers push notifications to your device using your push notification token.

Each provider processes your data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable data protection laws.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. If you choose to delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our systems. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us at the email address below.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Deletion — you can request that we delete your account and associated data.
  • Portability — you can request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.

Children's Privacy

RealBeef is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. Tracking & Advertising

RealBeef does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not display third-party advertisements. No data is shared with data brokers or advertising networks.

In-App Purchases

RealBeef offers optional paid subscriptions. All billing and payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.). Subscription management and purchase history are processed by RevenueCat on our behalf.
